Renee Nyarko Eluma Partner/Therapist PT, DPT
Renee Nyarko graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2003 with a degree in Biopsychology. She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 2006.
Renee provides comprehensive treatment to her patients using a wide variety of manual therapy and taping techniques complimented by exercise to help patients return to a healthy lifestyle. She is also a strong proponent of patient education to assist each patient in their transition to independent management of their impairments. She enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic injuries, especially those involving the shoulder. Renee is a Level 1 Dry Needling certified through Myopain.
In her spare time, Renee enjoys spending time in the company of family and friends. For the past three years she has volunteered her time to the Washington DC Divas, a professional women’s tackle football team. She also volunteers her time to a non-profit organization that raises money to provide hospital and school supplies to villages in her family’s home country of Ghana, West Africa. Her favorite pastime involves cheering for all the Washington DC area home teams, especially the Washington Redskins.
Chantelle Lamour, PT, DPT Physical Therapist SFMA certified Level 1
Chantelle Lamour, PT, DPT joins the Forever Fit Physical Therapy team with 8 years of experience. Chantelle grew up in Toronto and spent her post-secondary education in Michigan, earning an Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Andrews University.
Chantelle loves meeting and interacting with a variety of people in her role as a physical therapist. She particularly likes to study functional movements which led her to get her level 1 certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessment and several corrective exercise courses through NASM. She especially loves applying this knowledge to treat shoulder injuries.
Her current passion is helping women' in the post-partum phase resume an active life by addressing back pain and abdominal separation issues (diastasis recti) that affect their activity levels.
Anne Coakley, PT Physical Therapist, Assistant Clinical Director
Anne Coakley earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Baltimore. Anne has practiced Physical Therapy for 31 years. Twenty eight years has been dedicated to orthopedic population. Anne’s continuing education has been dedicated to all areas of patient treatment especially manual therapy. Anne particularly enjoys educating her patients for independence in self-management for her patient’s improved quality of life. Anne has lived in Maryland all of her life. She has enjoyed raising three children with her husband Jon. Traveling, long hikes with her husband and dog and any outdoor adventure keeps Anne active in her free time.
Barbara Huddleston Occupational Therapist OTR/L, CHT, CPAM
Barbara has been a Registered Occupational Therapist for over 25 years. She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Medical University of South Carolina in 1985 and earned her Certified Hand Therapist credentials in 1991. In 2010, she added a certification in Physical Agents and Modalities to her credentials. While Barb is experienced in the inpatient and Trauma settings, her love is treating tendon repairs and hand injuries in the outpatient setting. She also teaches people how to use prosthetics, including the I-limb.
Jessica Mukesh Physical Therapy Assistant
Jess has been practicing in outpatient physical therapy for over 4 years. She graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 2011 with a B.S. in Kinesiology and received her A.A.S in Physical Therapy from Howard Community College in 2015. Jess has a great passion for manual therapy and is currently pursuing to become a certified manual trigger point therapist. She strives to better her patients with her knowledge base and skill set in the practice of physical therapy. In her spare time, Jess loves hiking, reading, music and all things make up!
Meghan Mahar PRN physical Therapist PT, DPT, Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Certified Dry Needling Provider
As a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Meghan enjoys treating clients with a variety of orthopedic injuries. She prides herself on focusing on the whole person, not just the injured body part, and encouraging better overall health.
She graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and Biology. She then graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Meghan is a Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist. She is licensed to safely provide dry needling treatments to a variety of body parts in order to help combat acute or chronic pain. She finds this treatment can be especially advantageous for stubborn trigger points in the neck and back that have not responded to more conservative strategies.
Meghan has been filling in at several of the Forever Fit offices for several years. She carries a consistent schedule at the Bowie office. When she is not working for Forever Fit she sees patients in the home who are unable to easily make it into a clinic. She enjoys the balance between her time in the clinic and in people’s homes.
In her spare time, Meghan can be found walking, running, cycling, or even roller skating with her family. She also enjoys home renovation projects and has been a vegetarian for over 20 years. She encourages not only her clients, but her family and friends to choose a healthy lifestyle.
