Physical Therapy in Silver Spring (Downtown)
Forever Fit Physical Therapy & Wellness was founded in 2010 with the mission to provide a physical therapy experience that exceeded the patient’s expectations at every interaction. The founder, Krista Frederic, MPT, OCS was committed not only to providing treatments that were effective, efficient and supported by evidence and years of experience, but to creating a patient experience that exceeded expectations at every turn. She believes that a relaxed, comfortable patient is more receptive to healing, resulting in better outcomes and long-term health improvements.
In 2018 Krista, along with her partners Renee Nyarko Eluma, PT, DPT and Sara Richeson Harris, PT, DPT successfully opened the Colesville Road location to serve the residents of Silver Spring and the surrounding areas. We hope to continue to alleviate pain, improve mobility and most importantly, create lifelong quality of life for our patients. We will provide you with the education to care for this injury and others in the future. We teach you about your body, how pain works, how to prevent future recurrence and what to do if re-injury does occur. You can expect friendly, consistent and reliable service at every visit, with input into your goals and the healing process.
To improve the health and well-being of our local communities through access to quality care, community education and amazing customer experience. We aim to become the “go to providers “ in our community for musculoskeletal pain and movement problems as well as lifestyle education.
Sara Richeson Harris Clinic Director, Partner PT, DPT
Sara Richeson Harris joined Forever Fit Physical Therapy & Wellness in 2013 after two years of experience in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics and skilled nursing facilities. Sara was drawn to Forever Fit's mission of quality, personalized care and our passion for making physical therapy accessible and successful for patients of all types. It is her passion for our mission over time that has led Sara to expand our practice as a partner at our Downtown Silver Spring location.
Sara graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of New England Portland Maine in 2011. She is currently pursuing her CFMT through the Institute of Physical Art as she has developed a passion for PNF, functional training and providing education and support to those in chronic pain. Over the last five years she has particularly developed a niche for helping those in chronic pain and with complex musculoskeletal conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Dr. Richeson keeps current with the newest developments, guidelines, and procedures in her field by remaining a distinguished member of the American Association of Physical Therapy. Her meticulous approach to patient care, coupled with her dedication to her work, and contributions in this field earned Dr. Sara Richeson, PT, DPT a 2018 Top Doctor Award.
Sara became passionate about physical therapy as a teenage gymnast when physical therapy helped her recover from three ankle surgeries. She is very interested in developing an expertise in foot and ankle injuries. Sara is enthusiastic about injury prevention, especially in the cheerleader and gymnast population with which she is so familiar.
Ángel Casul Physical Therapist PT, DPT CMPT-FFT
Ángel is a physical therapist passionate about his job. Since his early interest in the human body while still at school, he has always strived to learn as much as he can every day to help his patients as much as possible. He used to compete in track and field, swimming, and triathlons in his teens and eventually in weightlifting while in college. His career in the health industry started as a personal trainer after graduating from the University of Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico in 2003. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion being awarded a magna cum laude recognition.
After some time helping clients improve their health, his desire for knowledge grew more. That is when he decided to get his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus in 2011. Here he got a cum laude award recognition. He worked with pediatric populations in a school-based setting and then with geriatrics delivering home care services. Almost three years ago he decided to move to Maryland where he has had the opportunity to learn much more through continued education and the help of coworkers and by getting his Doctor in Physical Therapy degree from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania. He also became certified in dry needling which has added significantly to his ability to help others. Most of his patients in recent years have been people with chronic pain and poor outcomes on previous attempts to improve their quality of life. Ángel has been able to help many of them, not just through the use of many of the manual interventions he has learned, but through the application of the biopsychosocial model. This model considers how everything may affect the pain experience, allowing the provider to see the full person and not just the injury.
In his free time, Ángel likes to spend time outside in nature hiking with his family to find waterfalls and swimming holes, traveling to explore other countries as well as doing some local tourism. Even though he no longer competes, he likes to run trails and swim laps whenever he can, and has garage gym to keep him busy getting stronger.
