Dwight Brown Clinic Director PT, DPT, Certified Graston Technique Provider
Dwight originally joined Forever Fit in August 2014 and served as clinic director of the Burtonsville site from December 2015- December 2016. He then went on to joint the staff at Medstar NRH Rehab, Friendship Heights for a little over two years. He returned to Forever Fit as clinic director of the Silver Spring location in May 2018.
He is a Jamaica native who grew up in Philadelphia and attended The George Washington University where he earned a bachelors in business administration degree with a focus on finance (2000) and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (2014). He developed a passion for Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) as a physical therapy student and has been a certified Graston Technique Provider since early 2015. He has received training from the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) in the application of PNF and soft tissue functional mobilization techniques. In addition, he has received extensive training in application of the Maitland technique and plans to sit for the Maitland Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) exam in 2019.
Dwight has a special interest in conditions affecting the shoulders, hips and spine but has also worked with numerous knee, foot and ankle patients. His goal while treating patients is to utilize the diversity of his treatment techniques to facilitate a customized approach that will lead to improvements in function for both athletic and general populations. He is a firm believer that with proper instruction and patient commitment the body can heal itself and that the skills and tools acquired during the rehab process can carryover into multiple real world scenarios for his patients. His interests include football, weightlifting and yoga as well as spending time with his wife of eleven years and their one year old daughter.
Michelle Price Physical Therapist/Pelvic Health PT, DPT, CAPP-Pelvic
Michelle Price is a part-time/PRN licensed physical therapist with a passion for orthopedic and pelvic
health physical therapy. She joined Forever Fit Physical Therapy & Wellness in 2020 after six years of
experience in a variety of settings including outpatient, hospital, home health, and academic.
Michelle received her BS in Biology from Towson University and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from
University of Maryland Baltimore. Recently, she has earned her Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic
Health Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic) from the American Physical Therapy Association’s Academy of
Pelvic Health. She had taken multiple continuing education courses on customized hands-on treatment,
exercises, and modalities – wishing to continue to develop her expertise.
Outside of work, Michelle belly dances and performs with a local dance company, travels with her
husband, and supports local breweries. Living in Maryland the past 19 years, she is enthusiastic to empower and rehabiliate local patients in need!
Allison Handel, PT DPT Physical Therapist
Allison Handel, DPT received her A.S. in Business Administration and A.S. in Pre-Physical Therapy from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN in 2015. She then decided that physical therapy was her passion and went on to earn her B.S. in Health Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy both awarded in 2019 from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA. Allison grew up in Silver Spring and recently moved back home to Spencerville, MD after living out of state for over ten years.
She enjoys having an active job that allows me to interact with people all day. Allison loves getting to help people feel better and achieve their goals through movement & exercise. She particularly enjoys treating shoulders, hips, and spine injuries. I also really love the geriatric population.
She is a certified USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach and outside of work, she competes in the Olympic sport of weightlifting, enjoys hiking, and spending time with family and friends and all of their dogs.
Meghan Reed Physical Therapist PT, DPT
Meghan Reed, DPT received her B.S. in Biology from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD in 2015. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, MD in 2019. Meghan grew up all over the United States with some time spent abroad due to growing up in a military family. She has been living in Maryland for the past decade. Meghan loves the field of physical therapy for both the active nature of the job and the difference physical therapy makes in people’s lives. She likes treating patients with conditions affecting the shoulders, knees, and ankles. She enjoys working with patients of all ages. Outside of work Meghan enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
